What can I take to improve alertness,cognitive performance and give you energy?

I%26#039;m 19 and I%26#039;ve tried taking mental alertness pills with ginkgo balboa and Asiatic Centella but it doesn%26#039;t seem to be working. Some people say because I%26#039;m young and I%26#039;m at my peak I won%26#039;t feel differences. But when I drink caffeine (coffee), it blocks adenosine causing me to be more alert than fall asleep and tricks my body into releasing adrenaline that improves my cognitive thinking, alertness and gives me energy. But I don%26#039;t want to have the side effects (irritability, crankiness and short temper).





To sum everything up, I%26#039;m looking for certain ingredients and and things to take (products) to help me be alert, improve cognitive performance and at the same time give me energy longer than one hour (preferably at minimum three to six hours) with no down time or side effects to help with studying (and over night studying) and ehem *cough* video gaming (and no recommending a bottle of water and putting two packets of sugar isn%26#039;t my type of solution).

Reply:Your alertness, cognitive performance and energy is mostly formed during the first 4 years of your life. If you had a relatively healthy first 4 years then you are pretty okay. First 4 years is the 90%, then now you are working on the 10%. Just exercise and visualize yourself being how you would like, but mostly you are already made.
