Has anyone taken this antidepressant?

I have depression and social anxiety and the psychiatrist prescribed me Fevarin,which as far as I know from the Internet,is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and Flavotan,another medicine with ginkgo biloba extracts.Does Fevarin have severe side effects and which? I ended up accpeting the idea that I need to take antidepressants disregarding the fact that they could have severe side effects because I feel there%26#039;s no other way I could heal,it%26#039;s too much pain and I can%26#039;t handle it alt all.Nothing worked and I%26#039;m afraid this won%26#039;t wotk either,but I need to know what are the risks of taking these pills.Thank you.

Call your pharmacist where you got the prescription filled and he can give you the printout of the possible side effects. You have to give it about 2 months to work, unless you have bad side effects - then you should quit right away. I take Zoloft and Wellbutrin and have no side effects. That%26#039;s the way it should be. Good Luck!
Reply:It sounds as if you looked on the internet for some information about your meds, the same site that you found that information on should have told you about side effects and whatever else you want to know.....if your site didn%26#039;t go to webmd and do a drug search. I know you can find what you need on their site.
Reply:I have never heard of the antidepressant you are taking but I used to take lexapro and then changed to zoloft. When I started taking them I felt a really big difference. I feel like getting on antidepressants saved my life because I was to the point where I felt suicidal. Like all medicines they have side effects but they are not as bad as being depressed and anxious. Good luck.
