What's the best concentration aid for studying?

Caffeine?

Nicotine?

Nootropics?

Ginkgo Biloba?

I%26#039;m struggling in college and I need to bring my GPA up to 3.6 (minimum.) Help!

What%26#039;s the best concentration aid for studying?
Here%26#039;s my tips to how to study well:

First, get yourself a good breakfast in the morning. I don%26#039;t particularly mean a breakfast sandwich and a deep fried hash brown at your favorite fast food joint, I really mean a plate of the classic bacon or sausage with eggs, hash browns, and some toast.

Second, for the cheap fix, get yourself some coffee. Typically, colleges/universities offer some really cheap prices for coffee, especially how much students and faculty drink on a daily basis.

Third, don%26#039;t study at home. Odds are that you will be distracted by turning on the TV or laying in bed with your literature material. A good and quiet place to study and work would typically be the campus library or a study room/lounge in nearly any college building. Computer labs are a good idea too, but steer away from the main labs and use the smaller labs.
Reply:Caffeine!!!
Reply:Chewing sunflower seeds helps a lot because you are constantly chewing. Listening to Mozart has been proved to help stimulate your brain also.
Reply:First, get a full eight hours a sleep each night --- this is number one. And drink a lot of water all day long.

Second, make your at-home study time to be five hours or more for studying each and every day.

Third, exercise aerobically as much as you possibly can.

Fourth, eat a lot of vegetarian meals, even if you%26#039;re not a vegan and take a multivitamin

Fifth, take DMAE - it%26#039;s a vitamin that is good for memory

and alpha lipoic acid and take a lot of Calcium/Magnesium/zinc vitamin.

Sixth, while studying, take a lot of short mental breaks such as warm showers, quick healthy snacks, push ups, etc.

and last be sure to have some recreational time, but don%26#039;t let recreational time cut into your study time too much.

I also find that study groups and genuine study partners help greatly.

Good Luck

Reply:Caffeine actually makes me tired but I%26#039;m weird ... Don%26#039;t do anything drastic or that will harm your body! I like to listen to music when I study, you can give that a try ... I also am a huge procrastinator and the best way to make time to study is to FORCE yourself to go the the library or your student lounge, not your room or home lol ... You+lots of coffee+library/quiet place with no distractions = Good study time :)

P.s. - Find out whether your a visual (learn best reading material), oral (learn best listening), or writing (learn best writing things down over and over)kind of learner. I am the last kind and for major tests or ones with a lot of vocab I like to write questions on flash cards and answers on the back and then quiz myself with them ... Or just taking notes helps me most of the time and then reviewing them or studying with a partner.
