I am a male, in my late twenties, and am going to embark on a daily exericse routine. I have a few items at home, but need advice on things to take that are the utmost importance. I am rather lean, but from past experience, I made quick results, as long as I stick with it. Looking to build muscle. Here is what I currently have. Thanks. Would three months be enough time to notice results?

Is it safe to mix the following medications and supplements?:?
I%26#039;m currently taking:
Benicar
Metoprolol
multi-vitamin
fish oil-supplements
I%26#039;d like to add the following herbs and enzyme:
Ginseng
Ginkgo Biloba
St. John%26#039;s Wort
Co Q-10
Is it safe to take all of these medications and supplements together?
Is it safe to mix the following medications and supplements?:?
First, in response to Dr. J - Co Q-10 is Co-ENZYME Q-10...lets just hope that guy%26#039;s not really a doctor ;)
The thing to remember about herbal and natural products is that they are not regulated as drugs by the FDA and therefore do not have to be tested for efficacy and many times do not contain what they claim to or contain a minute amount of what is claimed. All natural products should be used with caution and you should contact your doctor or pharmacist about these.
While there are proven effects shown with St. John%26#039;s Wort, it is highly reactive with other medications and in and of itself produces very bad side effects in the majority of the population. Ginseng is also known for its bad effects and there is little creditable scientific proof that it actually works. Ginkgo Biloba is less likely to interact with your other medications, but can cause gastrointestinal problems. Co Q-10 isn%26#039;t very well studied, but should not cause problems with your other medications.
Reply:There are NO enzymes in your list.
Reply:Best thing to do with no medicine at all but use natural foods as your medicine unless you%26#039;re realy ill from some sort of genetic disorder. Organic foods and vegetbale works very well to keep the body in good health.
Reply:We%26#039;re not phjarmacists. Ask one.
Reply:Check with your pharmacist.
Reply:Benicar trigar side effect in the lung and intestinol area
And the Metoprolol affect the kidney
And if you mix the following medicines together?
They are going to have severe chemical reactions and will give you an ulcer in the stomach
or upset stomache
Reply:Jenn is absolutely correct. St. John%26#039;s Wort should not be touched, especially when taking other medications.
Personally, I wouldn%26#039;t add any of those, but if you insist on doing so check with a pharmacist first.

Is it safe to take a bunch of herbal supplements? More info...?
I take CoQ10, Fish Oil, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic, and Blue Green Algae. Let me know if this is okay, or what I should be doing instead to get good minerals and supplements.
Is it safe to take a bunch of herbal supplements? More info...?
Yeah, its safe. all herbs are good for you, but wait..... you already know that.
Reply:This sounds fine but be sure your doctor knows that you take all of these so it is noted on your medical chart so he can watch what meds he prescribes so they don%26#039;t interact with your supplements.
Reply:eat a well balanced diet
Reply:It all sounds fairly safe. I take a lot of the natural products from Forever Living Products every day. I also drink the aloe gel. This is a very good Aloe Vera drink which builds and helps the immune system big-time.
One product you mentioned is Ginkgo. Forever Living make this too, along with most of the other products you mentioned, but for some reason, the Ginkgo is not allowed into the Republic of Ireland. I do not know or understand why. I do know someone, one of my own dowlnine in fact, who wants to take it. I don%26#039;t want to get him any other brand as I honestly feel Forever Living Products are the best of their kind in the world. That is how they can offer a sixty day money back guarantee on all their products.
If you do check up that web site and feel you would like to try their products, DONT! Don%26#039;t do it straight away, because I can save you 30% off the retail price. All you have to do is join as a distributor, and no, this does not mean you have to sell anything,it just allows you to buy at wholesale price. To join just quote my details: Frank Woods from Dublin, Ireland my distributor no is 353-000-019-886 and tell them I said you could join under me. Effexor and natural herbs?
Is there any danger on mixing effexor and natural suplements like ginkgo biloba? Is there any website where I can go to rad about it?
Effexor and natural herbs?
Ginko increases the blood flow to the brain. Caution should be used when ever considering using natural supplements while on prescribed medications. St. John%26#039;s wort is definitely not recommended with effexor but ginko should be used with extreme caution because it can potentiate bleeding with certain medications and can interact with certain antidepressants such as MAOIs, phenobarbital, TCAs, carbamazepine, and phenytoins. I would consult your physician whenever considering any type of alternative medicines.
Reply:I am allergic to Effexor XR and it was too bad since it was seeming to work fine until it made me very sick. It is always wise to let your doctor know about any herbs that you are taking. I wasn%26#039;t taking any at the time and once i stopped the medicine and went on something else i was fine. It is smart to be careful with your medicine and herbs. I am taking some herbs for diabetic problems and they seem to help even though i just started and i am giving myself some therapy on my feet. Foot massager and rubbing in a massage oil. It is good to go slow with something new and see how it works for you. I will try to do what works for me. Good Luck and take the time to read up on herbs and other natural ways to help yourself-even certain foods help. You can find books on herbs and also on medications. Type in the words you need information on and you can find many things on the Internet. I hope that one day doctors will learn a way to know more about herbs and be allowed to help their patients using herbs Years ago they did. Not everything was a chemical. Some people body respond better to one thing and another responds better to something else.
Reply:I%26#039;m pretty sure they wouldnt interfere with each other. I was on Effexor 300mg, and took herbal sleeping tablets and anti-biotics all at the same time and I am fine :) you could try calling your pharmacy they are paid to know these things!

Is it safe to use extenze to enlarge the size of your penis?
ExtenZe is made up a proprietary blend of herbal complexes proven to increase blood flow to the penis. These substances include L-Arginine, Ginseng-Eleuthero, Oat Straw, Saw Palmetto, Tribulus Terrestris, Sarsaparilla, Calcium, Yohimbe, Maca Extract, Catuaba, Miura Puama, Nettle, Astragalus, Cayenne, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Boron, and Zinc. ---http://www.extenze.com/

Guaranteed not to work, no pill or medicine has yet been invented that works; that%26#039;s a scientific fact. Any one who says there product works are only after making money.

Yohimbe, Ginseng, and I believe palmetto are some of the supposed exciters. Ginko biloba will help your memory

Reply:The others are right.
However, the herbs you mention can all be taken internally, and provide one heyull of a *****!
Look for sexual enhancement pills in your local adult store - many come in trial sizes.
Why are you wanting to grow it anyway? Just learn to use it - and your hands and mouth better...

Reply:Enzite is garbage, as are all the other natural herbal supplements. PLUS, the makers of Enzite are now being sued for fraud!
The only real, effective erection drugs are Viagra, Levitra and Cialis.
There is no drug that will increase the length of your penis.
Reply:The stuff might get you up, and maybe help you keep it up. But to change the size of it? -Not without surgery, pal. Even the pumps will only do what should come naturally. Plus, too much vacuum on one of those pumps could rupture a delicate blood vessel, and then you%26#039;ll really be in trouble. Do you really want to rub something with cayenne pepper on your vitals? Most of that stuff can be taken internally, and probably won%26#039;t kill you. But all those balms and gimmicks are just money-makers to prey on your insecurities. Unless you have an erectile dysfunction, it%26#039;s a waste of money.

Losing Weight?
I%26#039;m about 5 9-5 10 at about 172 pounds. I started taking care of my body now and I was just wondering if what I was doing was right. I started doing cardio, I run on my treadmill/outside if it%26#039;s nice. I%26#039;ve lost about 10 pounds with just changing some eating habits, getting more exercise.
I want better results so I just baught these protein shakes cause I%26#039;ve noticed I dont seem to getting a good amount of protein in my diet, I started taking wheys protein shake. My friend suggested them, so I started taking two glasses of skim milk a day with a 1/3 of a cup of wheys. Also, I started taking these multi vitamin and mineral supplement pills with ginkgo and ginseng. I started taking them everyday. I began taking Arginine right before some of my harder work outs- and I get a good feeling from it.
I was just wondering if I should watch out for any side effects, I did some research and it looks clean for the most part. I started taking the pills and powders just about a couiple days ago.
Losing Weight?
People pay WAY too much attention to weight.
As another answer points out, muscle weighs more than fat, so you can gain weight, while losing fat.
Don%26#039;t just go by weight, and don%26#039;t set some sort of artificial number for what you want to weigh. Your weight depends on a lot of things such as your build and how much muscle you have -- it doesn%26#039;t necessarily mean you%26#039;re fat.
Reply:All these people are giving you the wrong advise! 162 pounds is an ideal weight for 5%26#039;10%26quot;. Stop buying into unrealistic stereo-types. Just continue to work-out and eat healthy and you will be fine. Remember mussle weighs more than fat so even if the weight doesn%26#039;t change you body still is...
Reply:I applaud you for your efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It looks like you are on the right track. I implore you to drink plenty of water. This will aid in protein synthesis and feed your muscles. Never mind the fact that plenty of water will keep you properly hydrated! For the protein shakes to do the most good for you, you should add weight training to your routine. Adding lean body mass (muscle) will increase your resting metabolic rate (burn calories even when you sleep!) and make you stronger. Good luck!
Reply:You seem to have it together. Everything looks good, except the herbs. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend taking any kind of herbs.

Reply:I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
